Legacy Society
Many special families
and individuals in our community have designated
the Foundation as the
recipient of a deferred gift. The Legacy Society is
the Foundation’s way of expressing our sincere
appreciation for those whose vision and generosity
will benefit our
community forever.
Legacy Society members are invited to special events
at the Foundation and are recognized in our annual report,
unless they desire to remain anonymous. More importantly,
Legacy Society members make a statement to our community
that they believe in its future and ensure that the causes
they care about most will be supported in their name
in perpetuity.
When you are thinking about a gift that will last well
beyond your lifetime, there are special considerations.
By giving through the Community Foundation, you can be
assured that
· Your
gift will be carefully invested and administered. Distributions
will be made according to your intent
· You
can accomplish all of your charitable goals by supporting multiple charities
or causes with a single gift
· Your
family members can be involved in continuing your philanthropic traditions
· Your
gift will continue to make a difference
You may already be a member of the Legacy Society if
you have made arrangements in your will or through some
other form of deferred giving for a gift to The Community
Foundation of Shreveport-Bossier. If not, you may tailor
a deferred charitable gift to fit your personal situation.
We are happy to work with you and your professional advisor
to structure a gift that is unrestricted in use, supports
a particular field of interest (such as education or
the environment) or is designated in a way you specify.
